And...He [Jesus] went into a city that is called Naim; and there went with him his disciples, and a great multitude. And when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold a dead man was carried out, the only son of his mother; and she was a widow: and a great multitude of the city was with her. Whom when the Lord had seen, being moved with mercy towards her, he said to her: Weep not. And he came near and touched the bier. And they that carried it, stood still. And he said: Young man, I say to thee, arise. And he that was dead, sat up, and began to speak. And he gave him to his mother..

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Confirmation class is this week following the 10:30 A.M. Mass. There will not be a class next week.

The Superior General of the FSSP has asked us to recite a novena from today, the 22nd (Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary) to the 30th of August for the intention of the Holy Father, our community, our apostolates and, more generally, for all those attached to the traditional Mass. He proposes that each of us, as part of this novena, pray: a decade of the rosary, the prayer to Saint Joseph, and an invocation to St. Peter. These prayers are available today.

The parish picnic will be held Sunday, September 5th at 1 PM. Please sign up to bring something. Sign up sheets are in the vestibule of the church.

This Friday is First Friday. Exposition/Benediction begins at 6 PM, followed by Mass at 7 PM.

This Saturday is First Saturday. The altar server guild meets after the 8 A.M. Mass.

The Scripture Class will begin Wednesday, September 29th at 7 PM.

Apologetics class for the high school students will begin October 8th.

There is a potluck, but no catechism today.
