Jesus answered:
If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing: it is
My Father that glorifieth Me, of whom you
say that He is your God, and you have not
known Him: but I know Him: And if I
shall say that I know Him not, I shall be
like to you, a liar. But I do know Him, and
do keep His word. Abraham your father
rejoiced that he might see My day: he saw it
and was glad. The Jews therefore said to
Him: Thou art not yet fifty years old: and
hast Thou seen Abraham? Jesus said to
them: Amen, amen, I say to you, before
Abraham was made, I am. They took up
stones therefore to cast at Him: but Jesus
hid Himself, and went out of the temple.

At that time Jesus took Peter and James,
and John his brother, and bringeth them up
into a high mountain apart: and He was
transfigured before them. And his face did
shine as the sun: and His garments became
white as snow. And behold there appeared
to them Moses and Elias talking with Him.
And Peter answering, said to Jesus:
Lord, it is good for us to be here: if Thou
wilt, let us make here three tabernacles, one
for Thee, and one for Moses, and one for
Elias. And as he was yet speaking, behold a
bright cloud overshadowed them. And lo, a
voice out of the cloud, saying: This is My
beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased:
hear ye Him. And the disciples hearing, fell
upon their face and were very much afraid.
And Jesus came and touched them, and
said to them: Arise, and fear not. And they
lifting up their eyes saw no one, but only
Jesus. And as they came down from the
mountain, Jesus charged them, saying: Tell
the vision to no man till the Son of Man be
risen from the dead.

Now it came to pass, when
He drew nigh to Jericho, that a certain

when he heard the multitude passing by,
he asked what this meant. And they told
him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.
And he cried out, saying: Jesus, son of
David, have mercy on me. And they that
went before rebuked him, that he should
hold his peace. But he cried out much
more: Son of David, have mercy on me.
And Jesus standing, commanded him to be
brought unto him. And when he was come
near, He asked him, saying: What wilt thou
that I do to thee? But he said: Lord, that I
may see. And Jesus said to him: Receive thy
sight, thy faith hath made thee whole. And
immediately he saw and followed Him glorifying
God. And all the people, when they
saw it, gave praise to God.

At that time there was a marriage in Cana of
Galilee: and the mother of Jesus was there.
And Jesus also was invited, and His disciples,
to the marriage. And the wine failing,
the mother of Jesus saith to Him: They have
no wine. And Jesus saith to her: Woman,
what is that to Me and to thee? My hour is
not yet come. His mother saith to the waiters:
Whatsoever He shall say to you, do ye.
Now there were set there six water-pots of
stone, according to the manner of the purifying
of the Jews, containing two or three
measures apiece. Jesus saith to them: Fill the
water-pots with water. And they filled them
up to the brim. And Jesus said to them:
Draw out now, and carry to the chief steward of
the feast. And they carried it. And
when the chief steward had tasted the water
made wine, and knew not whence it was, but
the waiters knew who had drawn the water:
the chief steward calleth the bridegroom,
and saith to him: Every man at first setteth
forth good wine: and when men have well
drunk, then that which is worse: but thou
hast kept the good wine until now. This beginning
of miracles did Jesus in Cana of
Galilee; and manifested His glory, and His
disciples believed in Him.

Then Mary the Mother of Jesus was espoused to Joseph,
before they came together, she was found with child of the
Holy Ghost. Whereupon Joseph her husband, being a just man

away privately. But while he thought on
these things behold the Angel of the Lord
appeared to him in his sleep, saying: Joseph, son of David,
fear not to take unto

shall bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call
His name Jesus: for He shall save His people from their sins.

At that time the Jews sent from Jerusalem
priests and Levites to John, to ask him:
Who art thou? And he confessed, and did
not deny; and he confessed: I am not the
Christ. And they asked him: What then?
Art thou Elias? And he said: I am not. Art
thou the Prophet? And he answered: No.
They said therefore unto him: Who art
thou, that we may give an answer to them
that sent us? What sayest thou of thyself?
He said: I am the voice of one crying in the
wilderness, Make straight the way of the
Lord, as said the Prophet Isaias. And they
that were sent were of the Pharisees.
And they asked him, and said to him: Why
then dost thou baptize; if thou be not
Christ, nor Elias, nor the Prophet? John
answered them, saying: I baptize with
water: but there hath stood one in the
midst of you, whom you know not. The
same is He that shall come after me, who is
preferred before me: the latchet of whose
shoe I am not worthy to loose. These
things were done in Bethania, beyond the
Jordan, where John was baptizing.

<blockquote style="text-align:justify;">
At that time, Jesus spoke to His disciples
this parable: The kingdom of Heaven is
likened to a king, who would take an account
of his servants. And when he had
begun to take the account, one was brought
to him that owed him ten thousand talents:
and as he had not wherewith to pay it, his
lord commanded that he should be sold,
and his wife and children, and all that he
had, and payment be made. But that servant
falling down, besought him saying:
Have patience with me, and I will pay thee
all. And the lord of that servant, being
moved with pity, let him go and forgave
him the debt. But when that servant was
gone out, he found one of his fellow servants
that owed him a hundred pence: and
laying hold of him, he throttled him, saying:
Pay what thou owest. And his fellowservant
falling down besought him, saying:
have patience with me, and I will pay thee
all. And he would not but went and cast
him into prison till he paid the debt. Now
his fellow servants, seeing what was done,
were very much grieved and they came and
told their lord all that was done. Then his
lord called him and saith to him: Thou
wicked servant, I forgave thee all the debt,
because thou besoughtest me; shouldst not
thou have had compassion also on thy fellow-servant,
even as I had compassion on thee? And his lord being angry, delivered
him to the torturers, until he paid all the
debt. So also shall my Heavenly Father do
to you, if you forgive not every one his
brother from your hearts.
