Music for Mass (part 2) - Mozart's "Sparrow Mass" in C-major, KV. 220

Last night, I decided to take a look online for a good recording of Mozart's "Sparrow Mass" which I had never heard before. I found this excellent rendition (minus the Benedictus) on YouTube sung for a competition in Japan in 2012. I was especially impressed with the young singers memorizing this work and singing it so well.

Mozart completed this Missa Brevis in C Major K.220 in either 1775 or 1776 and was likely performed for the first time in Salzburg Cathedral on Easter Sunday. It has been noted that this work served as a model for Franz Sussmayer to use when he completed Mozart's famous Requiem Mass.
